In March this year, the Ministry of Commerce and five other ministries issued an announcement to shift the second-hand car export from a pilot program to a full rollout. The Shanghai Port Second-hand Car Export Comprehensive Service Center was recently completed and put into use at the Shanghai Haitong International Automobile Terminal, injecting new vitality into the second-hand car export business .
As the first second-hand car export inspection point in the port area , the "Service Center" can provide one-stop motor vehicle registration and port logistics services for second-hand car export companies in Shanghai and surrounding provinces and cities, reduce the risks and transportation costs caused by multiple moves of export vehicles, and improve the efficiency of comprehensive certification services. After submitting relevant materials to the "Service Center", second-hand car export companies can barge the vehicles to be exported to the service center in the port area to carry out one-stop second-hand car inspection, second-hand car "transfer to be exported" registration and other procedures, and apply for export licenses and customs clearance and shipment for export from the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce.
Shanghai takes multiple measures to promote the development of used car exports
It is understood that as one of the first pilot cities for second-hand car exports in China, the demand for second-hand car exports in Shanghai has been rising in recent years, gathering a number of second-hand car export enterprises with domestic car sources and overseas markets. In order to further promote the development of second-hand car exports in Shanghai, several departments in Shanghai recently jointly issued the "Shanghai Measures to Promote Second-hand Car Exports". In addition to the "Service Center", the first inspection point in the port area in China, it also clearly proposed to set up a "special license quota for second-hand car exports" to solve the problem of insufficient vehicle license quotas for second-hand car export enterprises in Shanghai, support qualified enterprises in the city to apply for the establishment of an export-oriented second-hand car trading market, and realize one-stop registration, transfer registration, and cancellation registration ; launch support policies and measures such as the establishment of a second-hand car export industry association , further optimize the business process of second-hand car exports, and create an international, legal, and convenient business environment.
